About Dismythed Dispelling the Myths

The world is plagued by claims that undermine belief and faith in God. From the direct attacks of atheist scientists and opposers to the subtle hypocrisy of theologians and religious leaders.

We at Dismythed believe in God because we have personal relationships with him, not just a worshipful one. It is a reciprocative relationship, not just in our imaginations, but in reality through communicative responses both back and forth.

No one can prove to us that God does not exist because the way he has communicated, with power and tailored effect to answer us. Millions have experienced this. But we do not need to convince anyone of our experiences. God chooses who he will have a relationship with, just as we ourselves do with any other person.

This blog is not in defense of Jehovah's Witnesses or our beliefs. It is for helping those who associate with us to eliminate doubts.

Sections

There are four (4) major sections in the Posts menu: Science Myths, Cult Myths, Theology Myths and Opposers Dismythed, each with its own introduction.

Science Myths tackles attempts by scientists to hide the evidence for God. It educates the reader on how to distinguish a science fact from philosophical speculation. It tackles subjects like evolution, cosmology, biochemistry, physics and archaeology.

Cult Myths will address false claims about what constitutes a cult. This takes a neutral viewpoint towards cult identification, not just to the benefit of Jehovah's Witnesses, but to all religions who do not fit the cult epithet. This is so that we can examine the claims neutrally, using fair judgment, because fair judgment requires impartiality.

Theology Myths addresses faithless claims about God and the Bible by the world's theologians and historians. They make claims designed to make the Bible look like a book of mythology. They reinterpret evidence to ignore the Biblical connections that are plainly evident, but we set the record straight by identifying their baseless claims.

Opposers Dismythed contains most of our former posts from Opposers Dismythed. It focuses on addressing the false claims made to make Jehovah's Witnesses appear wicked and evil. Not one of our opposers' claims against us have ever proved true. While the posts are comprehensive, the list of subjects is not because our opposers make new accusations every week and often every day. We will not let opposers manipulate our time. We have sufficiently proved them to be untrustworthy in their claims.

We hope these articles will help some overcome doubts that have plagued their minds caused by anti-God theorists, false religion and our religious opposers. And as we had come to develop previously, we will continue to seek to provide evidence and strong arguments with a positive, respectful attitude toward the reader. We understand that the reader who has been affected by the claims of atheists and enemies of the Bible is only human and may not have considered certain viewpoints for whatever reason.

If you have been negatively affected by such claims, we hope to help you overcome your difficulties so that you may return to Jehovah, assured by having your doubts put to rest. We can't be perfect in the same way Jesus is, but we can at least overcome the difficulties that arise from our imperfections with the help of others in Jehovah's organization who have the facts to help us. That is why being united in worship is so important. We can all help each other stay faithful.

Even though we dispute the claims made by those seeking to undermine faith in God, we cannot build faith based on these things. They simply remove roadblocks to faith. Building faith, on the other hand, takes proper Bible study, but especially building your personal relationship with Jehovah and applying what you learn from the Bible and Bible-based publications of Jehovah's Witnesses in order to become obedient to God and Christ.
