Theology Myths
Debunking False Theological Claims

Theology is a subject that a lot of nominal Christians know about. Many have been to a seminary or taken a theology class in college. This section focusses on issues common to theology, including history, translation, textual criticism, philosophy and the myths of religious leaders. Though we do not pull our punches, we do respect theologians for the viewpoints they hold, understanding that they have been duped by their religious training to disregard the Bible. Some do wake up, but most will remain mired in falsehoods until judgment day.

Unfortunately, some of our brothers have fallen pray to the empty deception of religious philosophy and false religious teachings. They becomes so enamored with their own book learning that knowledge of the Bible no longer matters to them. It is this tendency, or the confusion arising from the conflicting viewpoints, that we wish to address here.

Additionally, atheists love to act like theologians and Bible scholars, so many of their claims are covered here when they do not fall under the subject of science.

Subjects

Bible History and Archaeology. While understanding the Bible is not dependent on history, history and archaeology bolster the Bible's claims. This subject will educute the reader about Bible history and strengthen faith in the miracles recorded there, while combating the false claims of its scholarly opposers.

Bible Translation. Bible scholars like to ignore translation principles to support the plainly false claims of their religious leaders, unconcerned with truth. We use their own translations of other verses in the Bible to disprove their claims.

Higher Criticism. Criticizing and analyzing seeming discrepencies in the Bible's text to disprove a divine origin has become a favorite passtime of some theologians who have lost their faith. We reanalyze those texts with full faith and reliance on Jehovah to uncover the facts that they so frequently overlook because of their intentions.

Philosophies of Men. We analyze the phylosophical ponderings of religious philosophers, both of nominal Christianity and other religions to highlight the flaws in their thinking. In each case we point to the Bible as superior to their flawed reasonings.

Teachings of Men. We address unscriptural doctrines of nominal Christian sects that undermine faith and cause confusion. These are subjects that will not be covered at the original Salvation vs. website. (Many pretenders to that name from Christendom have arisen since it was founded, but we will not be changing the name.)

Salvation vs. Exposing doctrines that contradict the Bible's simple salvation message. This is a list of links to posts at our Salvation vs. website.

Flip-side Theological News. Where new objects are discovered that give credence to the Bible, it will be reported here. We will also investigate and debunk anti-Bible claims made about a discovery.

Theological Definitions. Difficult words used in theology will be explained here, as well as showing why they are not needed in many cases. They just tend to be ways to make theology inaccessable to the masses.

Disclaimers

We are not trained in theology from any college or seminary. We are not educated in philosophy. We are simply students of the Bible. We receive a weekly education in the weekly Life and Ministry meeting that most Jehovah's Witnesses attend. It is, in our opinion, a far better school than any seminary. Most Jehovah's Witnesses, even children, can hold their own against seminarians. That is not a hollow brag, but it is because they stick to the Scriptures, not extrabiblical texts of philosophers who do not know their right hand from their left.
